My 91 / 120 force was under fresh water for about 3 hrs. Drained everything, took carbs apart and cleaned fuel lines, pump and all. Still rough idle and jerks hard as if missing about every 5 or 10 seconds in high idle. When I increase the throttle it gets worse. I only get about 1/3 throttle and act like it is flooding.
Could there still be water or is it maybe electrical.
Thanks

Re: wet engine

Thanks for the info, I have not checked the spark yet but will. I live 3 hrs from town and have to get in to buy a few tools, ie ohm meter, compression tester etc. Ordered a manual and hope it will be here in a week. No one in Whitehorse will work on this engine so I'm on my own.
Thanks

Re: wet engine

Oh ya, The waves were pretty good and much water found its way into the under floor tank. The previous owner layed plywood and fiberglassed the floor in. Hate to have to remove it. Drained it and put Alcohol in it but to much water sill inside. I installed commercail truck water sep. & filter. I think I'll drain it and go to top tanks til I figure something out. Anybody know how to get that last water out?
Thanks
