Tachometer on my 1978 Crestliner Muskie 775 17 1/2 ft. BowRider slams to its max.<br />RPM stop position when key is turned to ignition but is okay after motor starts. This is the original Tachometer. <br />3.0 litre inline 4 cylinder<br />Marine GM engine. Has external resistor with coil. Ideas are appreciated and many thanks to those who have responded so quickly to other issues.
