Re: Whaler Family!
I did restore it myself. It was colored yellow with a paint brush, a shell of a counsil, a blown engine and a trailer. I bought it for
$1,000! I took a disk sander to it, sanded all the yellow paint off. then I noticed that the hull was blue and someone painted over it. Here come to find out that my hull (35208) is a 1966 nauset originally. In 1972, someone bought a fiberglass counsil, put it in there and "upgraded" it to a montauk.

I had it professionally painted with the whaler colors. I did the beige and the white on the outside. (I didn't want to paint it the blue because it wouldn't look right with the fiberglass counsil.) So After thats done, I had my counsil done in fresh Teak. My doors are 1 in. thick! I love it. and also got my engine rebuilt. Fires right up, has not a problem.

I love it because people thought it was a 2003 last year believe it or not! Thank you

JAZZ
