hi i just got a 1996 150h evinrude ocean pro outboard and whant to go premix, i had many two stroke jet skis to date and always did. i usially get an oil pump blockoff plate and that is it. looks to me two stroke outboard are little diferent than all the two stokes i korked before.

to make a long story short, what do i need in order the convert my boat to premix. what to do in the pump????

any help apreciated.

Re: whant to go premix

cut the oil line and block it, i use a bolt and hose clamp, unplug the 4 wire wiring harness the VRO pump. disconnect the wirong harness ti oil tank. premix fuel, now remove a fuel line to a carb, pump fuel line bulb, until you get blue premixed fuel. button it up, and go boating.

surfing thru threads i found that there is a fuel/oil pump kit http://www.marineengine.com/parts/part_details.php?pnum=OMC5007422&ptype=&Engine=&Model= that removes the oil pump function. does this apply to my outboard of i can just go ahead with what you suggested. to be clear my motor is evinrude 150txera 94...thank you.

I believe if the fuel pump side is good...you just follow tashasdaddy's instruction and your good to go....

that kit may be for if the whole unit is shot....

there is a bunch of posts here on this..and most did like Tasha said and running fine.....just make sure you disconnect the wires or you will get an alarm....and make sure the oil line is plugged well so it dont suck air...
