I have a 1963 3HP Johnson that has sat in storage for 16 years. It was simply shut off the last time it was used no fogging no prep. I took it out yesterday and dumped the old gas out of the tank, I dumped an additive into the tank (one of those products that is ripped on by the puritans here) and some fresh gas. I didn't pull the spark plug, just made sure it was not frozen or locked up. First pull nothing, second pull it popped, third pull it started. Bullet proof motor kinda feel bad about selling it.

Starting on the 3rd pull, the maligned additive had nothing to do with it.

But that aside, it is always good to start one with relative ease that's been sitting a long time. :thumb:
