I have just purchased a Johnson 140 attached to a Simms Super V 16'.

The engine Model # is: J1401LC1M
and Serial # : C8117241


Can anyone put an age on this unit?

Are there any known faults/weeknesses to look out for on this motor?

I think that should read J140ILCIM which make it a 1981 fuel injection Ficht.
