What are these brackets?

There are four of them on my boat - two on the transom and one on either side just behind the cockpit. I have searched the internet but can't find anything like them.

If no one replies, might be worth taking one off to see if there is a manufacturer name stamped on the back.

maybe a place to hook a fender to? the line on the fender would have the male part?
just a guess.... it don't look quite right for that app. but thought i'd toss it out till someone lets ya know what they are really for.

they are mounts for accesories like rod holders, cutting boards etc, they slip into the grooves when needed and are removed when not.

I have those on my boat and they are for the drink/cup holders. They have a slight taper toward the bottom. The drink/cup holder is like a wire basket with a slide fitting on the side that slides into that and it will swivel around so your beverage of choice does not spill.

I bought a set of removable stainless steele rod holders a few years ago. Those are exactly like the mounting brackets that came with the rod holders

I've got a couple white plastic rod holders that might fit those. Guy at work was cleaning out his garage and gave them to me. What I'm missing is the mounting part like what you've got. Measure the gap, if they'll fit you can have 'em. They're on my desk, I'll try to get a photo tomorrow.

I bought a set of removable stainless steele rod holders a few years ago. Those are exactly like the mounting brackets that came with the rod holders
