Hi all, my folks juist bought a used boat. It's a 2001 Crownline 192BR with a 4.3 Thunderbolt V ignition, SN OL642375. It ran great when I took it out, but looking at the engine, I noticed there were two wires hanging loose... One is a black wire I'm guessing is gnd and the other is a purple wire with a white stripe. Just wondering what these wires are and if they should be this way...

Thanks

Re: What are these wires?

The black wire is just an extra ground for something not installed on your engine, hard to say. But you can always ground it and see what happens.
The Purple/white wire is the wire you you need to ground when setting the timing.
