What are these?

getting ready to start my first restoration. It a 1970 small tri-hull ? runabout build by Fish n Ski out of Tarpon Springs. The floor will need to be replaced. What are these 3 foot 1x2s running along both sides ??

Not entirely sure... My guess is if there are/were side panels in the boat, it was a place to screw them into... My 96 bayliner has a similar feature and its what the base of the side panels screw into.

Could be as mad props stated, or possibly core wood for the chines. My Chaparral had thin strips of wood that helped add structure to the chine area of the hull. During my restoration I pulled all the wood out and used hairy peanut butter to fill the voids.
