What are Volvo Penta 280 Diesel drives worth

I have a Volvo Penta 280-DP I believe. The upper leg is off and appears to have been rebuilt. It was paired with an Aqd40a diesel 6 cylinder. It is missing the upper gear cover and steering hat. Just wondering what I should ask for it? Also have what I believe is another volvo penta 280 that was also paired with a tamd40 I believe.

depends on where you live and how corroded it is. teh gear box is between $200 and $500 used. the lower unit is between $500 and $1500 used. props are about $150 to $300 used.

what ratio lower?

then again, I see people asking $4000 for the stuff...... it isnt selling, but that is what they are asking.

I believe the DP from the Aqd40a has a 1:61 ratio. Thanks for the reply
