Okay guys, I?m running a 1991 70 hp, on a aluminum bass boat. It?s new to me. I?ve had it out three times and each time it ran different. I found the answer here on Iboats.
Poor idle , poor WOT would surge and miss, plugs kept fouling, and the last time out (after tearing apart carbs and fuel system) she ran great for 1st hour. Then same as before except now it will not idle below 1500 rpms.
Well after searching iboats forum and reading the manual. I found the cause. If you would have said thermostat stuck open you are correct.

Just wanted to say thanks, I've also replaced impeller and ran sea foam thru it.
