what do they mean????????

hello- first time posting , well i'm trying to adjust my carbs after rebuilding . forgot to count the number of turns on the adjustment pins. i looked it up in my manual and it says 5/8 plus or minus 1/4 . what the ------ do they mean by 5/8 ??????? 5/8 what!!!!!

That would be a little more (1/8)than 1/2 turn out

so your saying that from closed turn it open only 5/8ths of a turn out ????? thats not very much
