What does 180ss mean?

I have a 1986 thundercraft 180SS boat. I am getting ready to sell it but I don't know what it is worth so I was looking up some other boats and found out that a lot of boats are labeled as 180ss What does that mean? Is it a standard boating term?

It is simply a name for the model of the boat for that manufacturer. The name often has a reference to the size (ex: 180SS may be an 18' boat), but doesn't have to.
