Trying to sell a galvanized trailer with a free boat for $500.

1988 19' bluewater cuddy. No engine or outdrive. Anyone know approx what boat weighs?

I May need to strip dash/gimbal stuff and metal parts and take to dump.

Kind of a shame hull is really nice, but I need the space, and my other boat project is enough for me right now.

Ok thanks guys. So subtracting engine and outdrive looks like approx 1700 pounds.

They charge $170 bucks per ton at
Dump.
Hopefully someone wants it, seems to good of shape to scrap. And around 200 bucks to throw something out is a lot 😳

Check if theres a free resident day. 1X/mo I can take 500lbs to my local dump free, including boats. The deduct 500lbs from my drive over weigh and I only pay the difference.

Consider a craigs ad offering ro pay someone $50-75 to haul it off and get a free galv trailer. Its cheaper then the dump fee and you dont have to drag it to the dump. If they counter, go up to 100 and take it out of your pocket and show it to them. You're still in cheaper then the dump fee.

I've taken several derelicts to the dump to get a cheap or free trailer. I'd probably have done more to get paid 50-100 to do it. Esp for a galv trailer.

FYI its a bad time to "sell" in much of the US, but a good time to buy......

Cool I'll look into the resident day. Problem is the trailer is pretty nice, and I know I could get 500 for it, but it has a friend involved.

But like you know the usual dilemma of a boat laying on it that no one may want.

Maybe I'll just try and get 2-300 for it. Be a good deal for someone who needs a galvanized trailer and doesn't mind going to dump.

Happens all the time. Good trailers and motors hung on boats nobody wants.

Many have cut them up into small enough pieces to go out w the household trash 1X/wk. A LOT NAATY of work to save a little green. Some have found a few greenbacks also help get the garbage collection guys totake more or nigger pieces of a cut up boat.

Then you and your buddy could split the 500, if you can get that much in the winter.

I underpriced a decent galv trailer to move it quick. 1st caller came to see it and took it at just under my asking. Quick is good.

Last thought, more perceived "value' in a low cost trailer then a free trailer. So might put it in craigs for a 100-200 and see. Even a lowball offer gets out of your yard.

Yes, I will probably end up stripping boat and dumping it and bringing trailer home. Spend 200 to dump boat then sell trailer for 3-400 lol.

Good news is the gauges look a lot like my glasplys, same amber color. so I could use them for backup. And the throttle stuff looks similar. Can sell kicker bracket and swim step also.
