What does this mean?

looking at the shop manual to determine proper ignition timing on my 77 235 hp OMC 351W, it says 10 BTDC and there is a small 3, like a power sign, on the upper right corner of the 10....whats that mean?<br />Thanks!

Usually means there is a footnote - e.g., see footnote 3

Footnotes may be at the end of the section/chapter and not at the bottom of the page - do you have the whole publication?
