what does trim do

if i trim the motor up would this make the back end of the boat go down and the front end go up or the other way around. how would i check for a spun hup

Up raises the bow thus lowering the rear somewhat. Start with the motor down then trim up as the boat gets on plane. Too much trim(up) can cause the boat to "porpose"(bouncing up and down). <br />If your RPMs go up yet your speed remains the same you prob. have spun the hub. Good liuch and have fun!
