Im in the market for my first Fish finder. The only ones I have any experience with, are the ones where a pepperidge farm goldfish floats on the screen and shows the size and depth. I like those. Simple, easy to use. Unlike all the new ones where theres some blotchy line and apparently automatically is a fish? (ive watched videos and dont understand how these people know they are fish....)
The 3d imaging ones are cool and I like how you can see actual images.
My concern is, I dont want to be in the market next year for another one because I bought a crappy one that is "dated"
GPS is also needed. Along with Chartplotting. (im assuming chartplotting allows me to "save" a course I have fished on? and GPS just tells me areas on the water? I want to be able to save fishing spots) I would prefer to stay with Humminbird. Just heard they have good history
Tell me your thoughts. Teach me what I need to know. Thanks!!!
oh yeah, budget. 300 ish. new or used, dont really care.
