I have a 85 Volvo penta 350(not sure if its an aq 260 or 290) with a 290 drive. Have a new 350 from rapido marine being built. Wondering what I will need for seals and gaskets to do the engine swap. Can I find it in a kit of some sort? I'm from Canada and can't access the Volvo parts site so the more detail the better. I have a seal kit and exhaust bellows for the drive and am hoping I won't need much more than that for the drive. The oil was slightly milky but the bottom o ring on the drain didn't look too good.

Your engine is a GM 350 and both Volvo and Merc use them. So far as the gaskets needed for a long block will be, intake, exhaust, oil pan, valve covers, water pump, distributer and fuel pump. Should be able to find most of these here at iboats or at your local auto parts store. Here is a link to an 85 Merc 350 which you can go through and find the Merc parts which are the same for Volvo
