What happened to my battery?

The deep cycle battery is a few months old. It has plenty of water; Ive never needed to add any. I charge the battery every time I use it and I never over charge it. When charging the needle on the meter goes from 75% to 0% The needle bounces from 75 to 0 every few seconds. The charger kick on and off every time the needle fluctuates. The charger manufacturer says its the battery? Any ideas

Take it to your local auto parts store and have it load tested. It wouldn't be the first new battery to be bad.
