Ever notice that if there is nothing political on the board, you never hear from him.

Personally, I don't miss him, I was just wondering why no one has heard from him.

Kenny

Plywoody is really Al Gore. He's still taking that presidential loss pretty hard. I think he is still re-counting ballots in Florida.

Liberal Democrats,..... you can't shoot 'em, and ......well....you can't shoot 'em. ;)

Hmmmm.

I have my disagreements with Plywoody's points of view, too, but. . . . .

Without his occasional contributions we would have fewer opportunities to state our own views.

Let's not bash or ridicule him just because we disagree with some of what he says. :)

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO PLYWOODY ?

Nope, not gone. Not totally, at least.

Been busy moving cross country, setting up a new domicile, along with getting a new job up and running.

Getting two mills going, one in Canada and one in the USA--employing 35 Canucks and 40 Americans, that have been down for three years, is a time consuming task, I am afraid.

And I have to admit that I am a bit surprised that no one has come to the forum with the observation that maybe indeed the intelligence was flawed about Iraq, or perhaps it was skewed, that they posed little threat to us or anyone else, and that while the war would be won relatively easy, the peace would be a different story, and that we were likely to get into a long lasting, expensive, dangerous quagmire over there. And since we went about it on our own, it is hardly surprising the rest of the world does not want to participate in this phase.

By golly, that is exactly what your old buddy PW said all along.

Oh, and thanks, JB. I don't wish to change people's points of view. All I ask for is an honest thoughtful debate. They'll change their views on their own.

Regards

Well, I bet I speak for many when I say that the current anti bush rhetoric (parroted by Saddam BTW) is just the same old thing. You guys will do anything to build a case against the man. As Blair said yesterday, inaction by them would not have been forgotton by history.

I don't need to see weapons of masdestruction nor do I really care. Saddam was as evil as hitler was and the atrocities he inflicted on his own people and every other Nation because of his supporting Terroristic groups was enough for reason for me to KICK HIS *SS!!

Hey Plywoody,

Who said the information was flawed?

The media did!

Thats worlds largest flaw, the media itself!

Who says no other country wants to participate in this phase of the war?

Then why is it France, Germany and Russia all now want to send in their troops?

You people need to read between the lines when you read your morning paper, because the media is telling you a story the way they want you to hear it, not the way it is really happening.

Oh, by the way, welcome back.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO PLYWOODY ?

Guess what, Iraq is a a whole lot less of a threat to us, its own people, and the rest of the world now. We can thank the Bush administration for that. I praise Mr. Bush for taking a stand when many other countries just looked away. We will never know how many innocent people were spared because of the decision to liberate Iraq.

The message is clear now. If you are involved in terrorism, harbor terrorists, or allow terrorists to operate in your country, then you will feel the wrath of the United States and our loyal allies.

If you need to see weapons of mass destruction to determine that Saddam is an evil dictator, then you need to open your eyes.

Amen to your post JGREGORY. :)

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO PLYWOODY ?

I haven't changed my view Plywoody.

A significant enemy and threat to the free world has been eliminated and the world is now a better place for it. Not to mention the benefit to the people of Iraq.

Even if there were no WMD's (and I'm not saying that's the case) - there were good reasons to believe there were - and Saddam was proven to be someone who would use them.

WMD's aside - the asassination attempt on President Bush snr was enough reason on it's own.

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO PLYWOODY ?

What does everyone mean when they say they need to see the WMD's.

What about the 10,000 liters of VX gas that was found prior to the begining of the war, that Saddam claimed he did not have?

That is enough VX gas to kill every living organism on the planet 3 times over.

Just that one fact is enough evidence to me that Iraq needed to be liberated from an evil lieing dictator that Saddam was!

What about the 150 barrels of weopons grade plutonium found in Bagdad, found in a place that U.N. Inspector Hans Blix was at numerous times but did not find because Saddam showed him the three barrels that were known and good ole Hans said "thats good enough for me" and did not look any further at that facility?

This is not "flawed information", this is FACT!

Enough about WMD...it has been found in Iraq already, so give it up!!

Kenny

Re: WHAT HAPPENED TO PLYWOODY ?

I can try to make an elliquent argument in favor of the war, but in truth it is pretty simple. After 911 most Americans figure it is better to be safe than to be sorry.

We couldn't trust Saddam. He had nasty weapons. He couldn't prove he got rid of them. He couldn't prove he wouldn't hand them over the the Islamic barbarian killers. He had to go. Thank God Bush had the guts to do what needed to be done.

Now the world knows that if we think you can hurt us we will strike and strike hard no matter what the rest of the world thinks. (No more $3M misiles to destroy $50 tents and hit camels in the arse).

The world is a safer place for me an my family and my friends tonight and that is what I really care about.
