It looks like it had a top cap on it and was separated and converted to a tub.

If its free it might be worth tinkering with, but I wouldn't put any real money into it.

Welcome to iboats!:welcome:

Reminds me of some boats Sears sold under the Gamefisher name back in the 70's, except for the color.

Ayuh,.... Even Free is too much money for it,...

Find yerself a traditional type of hull, insteada a foam cored hull,...

I'm guessin' that one is waterlogged,....

welcome aboard.

yes, that hull looks like the foam is water logged. the tub has a few compromised areas which would allow water to saturate the foam. since the foam has to be removed and replaced, the boat is basically a yard planter

even if you got the boat for free, could somehow get it registered and titled, it would cost you more to restore than buying a decent boat. one thing you will find out on this site. the most expensive boats are the ones that start out free.

Not worth even another look, don't get caught up chasing a boat that appears to have been stripped down, and left to rot. It's junk, you will lose ever penny you spend on it, hope this makes sense to you.

While I completely understand the joy of taking curb side trash and spending more to get it restored than it is worth...
Depending on where you live, when taking about a Boat, Possession is NOT necessarily 9/10 in the eyes of the law.

Without a Valid Title transfered from the previous owner, you could spend months and Hundreds of dollars on restoring it to museum condition, If the previous owner can not be determined, the powers that be, will still consider you in unlawful possession of the boat and you will be denied a registration and therefor will never be able to float it on anything except a private pond.

The ownership would be the first thing to get straight before even sliding it on the grass.
