What is a Mercury 225 I/O

There seems to be so much misinformation on sites like Craigslist when sellers post information about motor in a boat. I am looking at a 1984 Four Winns 19ft. that the seller has listed with a Mercury 225 I/O. Can anyone tell me is that the displacement, H.P. or what? What is it, a 3.0, 3.7, 4.3, etc...?
