What is an "Anchor Point"?

Browsing the Sea-Dog catalog and came across this piece of hardware. I'm guessing its purpose is to tie the anchor line to. But just not sure.

Anyone use one of these?

They also have this Anchor Mount for attaching an anchor to the bow rail. Can't figure out how it is supposed to work. Got any ideas?

They can't be intended for attaching a line to boat anchors that are on the bottom- they'd rip themselves out on the first swell!
I'm pretty sure the first one is meant to be used as a tie-down point for a line or bimini strap.
'EDIT' The Anchor Mount is 2 identical straps used to store a danforth-type anchor on the bow rail when not in use. You slip the bar stock thru a loop in each.

Thanks Arks! Yeah, that makes sense its not for an actual anchor, but just a light duty tie down point. Brain is working slow this morning.

And the anchor mount seems odd. You would think that they would offer two in a package rather than individual if its intended to hold a Danforth style anchor by the horizontal rod.

Doesn't it seem like the anchor would sway in a mount like that?

Update: I called Sea Dog about the anchor mount. Seems they decided not to manufacture it any longer. Said they are pulling it from the catalog.
