Posted few weeks ago , this is a follow up
I had a crazy thing happen ,
Fuel was back flowing into oil tank , reserve oil tank , reserve tank was overfilling dumping oil & gas into bilge .
Many said this is impossible , but this is what happened ,
float was resting on metal ,Needle not seating allowing fuel too keep flowing ,
Oil check valve was not working , allowing fuel too back flow ,
Check valve is not available , contacted many sources , nothing around
Last post I asked what substitutes others used ,
Was informed by fellow boater they saw one on ebay , YEP there was one and i ordered , Everything is done , Adjusted needle and reset float , Tested using ball , NO FUEL coming when float lifted ,
SO MY QUESTION , before I reinstall everything what is the correct height of float ,
, float is sitting off bottom plate apx 1/3 with slight incline just under 1/2 at end ,
Should it be around 1/3 off flat bottom , level all the way ?

Service manual should give you those dimensions, if you don't have one, time to get one if your doing your own work. Factory manuals are totally valuable and well worth the cost.
