What is it for ?

I have a 2002 115hp Yamaha 4storkeFI, I know nothing about working on these motors. I do follow the service manual and do my on service. While doing some service I noticed on top of injector delivery pipe assy. is a air valve, what is this used for and is it part of a maintance that should be done.

is not an air valve...is called a schraeder valve and is used to test fuel pressure at the fuel injector rail.
