New to boats. I have to black nipples (about as big as a quarter round) on the top rear of my 1995 Cajun 17 1/2' boat. They are attached to rubber hoses. What purpose do these serve? They look like some type of venting system.

Thanks,

John

johnc62,

My guess is that they may be livewell overflow drains.

I agree with djohns19 and would add that one of the two could be for the bilge pump.
One question. When you say top,I assume you mean at the top,but on the side or back of the boat,is that correct????

I ahd to do some repairs to the boats deck and found that they both run to the gas tank. I assume that they are vents for the gas tank.

Thanks,

John

John,
You assume correctly. They would be vents!
