Wondering what a 1978 140hp evinrude w power trim would bring in SW Missouri? It is tore down to the block, worth putting back together? Still can't decide whether to finish build on hull or scrap it and sell motor and trailor.

In peices its worth more in parts if the parts are good.
Under $1000 if assembled and running good.
Unassembled unknown condition, I could find one for $75...or free.

Well have to research used part prices and decide then. Was supposed to be a running motor when he tore it apart. Said he got a little carried away when he was rebuilding boat. Motor and hull were free by the way, 150 bucks for the painted to match trailor. No matter which way it goes I will come out ahead.

My guestimate wasn't too far off what you paid.

It mighty be worth buying the factory service book and reassembling the engine, enjoyable project and it will pay off if it works. Try ebay or order it.

A trailer is usually worth more without an old boat on it.
I woud try and put it all together and go boating.:)

WOW it is worth more if parted out. Might haul the hull to the land fill and part out motor and sell trailor. Already have 1 rebuild that barely sees water, 2 would be overkill LOL
