WHAT IS IT ????

I have a old johnson sea horse.<br />model # td 20<br />serial # 580409<br />does anyone have a clue as to what year & hp it is<br />The little water pump is wore out & need one<br />does anyone know where I can get parts for the<br />old motor..I was told by an old man that it was a<br />48 or 49 & might be a 51/2 hose but I don't have a clue..<br />thanks for any help<br />earnhardt21

Hiddy earnhardt21,<br />and welcome to THE Boat Bulletin Board.<br />..old guy told ya pretty close. The engine is a 5 hp. and was build between 1946 & 1949. I just got on google.com and typed "Johnson td20". The first entry says that it is a 1947 5hp motor. There were a lot of other pages that may have the info you need

hello earnhardt21.i have one of these motors myself.i got the water pump impellrer and a few other seals from a guy from new york.his name is cris benfeild,his email add is benren@mhcable.com. i think the immpeler was 15 dollars.i have always got fast service and everything has has been in A-1 condition.i would recamend him to anyone needing old omc replacement parts. give him a call he will have what you need.good luck, small block
