I am a new boat owner, I have a 1995 24ft PlayCraft Pontoon, and it has a 120 HP Outboard motor with an Aluminum Prop on it that is in pretty bad shape. It cruises at about 30-35 mph whan the darn thing will start and I have posted that question in another forum on this site. I know nothing about choosing a prop to get a little more performance out of the boat, Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I will do some research because I am not sure of what pitch my current prop is or how to find out, I guess I will just take it to a boat shop and ask them, but thanks for your help anyways.

there should be part numbers for the prop under the prop nut.

you still have to determine what the speed is, RPM, etc. so we know how to help.

We need the year and brand of the motor. 30-35 on a 24ft pontoon is certainly reasonable.
Your toon is doing very well.
When we get all of your info we can tell better where you are at.
Selecting a prop for your boat is like picking a single gear for your car to do everything.
Only the motor on your boat is working like its going uphill pulling a trailer all the time
so it needs to be propped so it can rev freely within its rated wot rpm.Once propped right you can operate it at what ever speed you choose. It appears your presently propped very close to what you need.
