what should the temp be when running the boat at idel and then what shouuld it be when running it at high rpms any help would be nice frist time boat owners we just repaired the lower end water pump

Ihavea 3.0ltr mercruiser and normaly runs at 175

Without knowing more about your driveline,<br />Somewhere between 140*,+ 180*..............

it's a 3.1 liter 165 horse power motor also what trype of lower end grease should we be using and what typr of oil

2004 5.0L(Carb) 220HP, Alpha 1, open cooling system. Runs about 175.
