This is a friend of mine's. He told me it was a 10 guage pistol. I am questioning that. Flare gun, maybe? But then, it has a serial number. But there is no manufacturing info ... So, what is it?

he should be able to get 450 to 500 bucks for it, maybe more, check ebay to see if any collectors are buying them

He traded some junk for it (worth about $50 - $100). Said it looked cool so it had to be worth at least that. Sometimes you get lucky.

Very nice.... it wasn't until the very last photo but, I would say that is a 10' Stanley Tape Measure!

Nice find. I would just clean it with light oil and fine steel wool. Leave the original finish alone.
