Ok I lost the thing that holds up the outdrive when you are driveing. You know one hook on one end that attached to the housing and 2 hooks on the other end that attach around the pistons. It must have been loose and fell off. WHats it called and where can I buy

Also I noticed I have a leak in the hydrolic lift hoses is small but with out the hook it falls half way over night. Should the outdrive be down when i fill the cylinder. Its a 72 merc with a pre alpha

Thanks

Re: What is this called?

jg, i've got a small leak in my reverse lock valve myself. so i add a couple of oz. about every thrid time out. i add it when the drive is down. to the top of the fill hole. i think of it this way. if the trim rams are out, there is a lot of oil in the rams themselves. so if i fill with them extened and then i collapse them to bring the drive down. where is all that oil gonna go. i'd guess there aint'even enough room in the trim resivour to hold it all and it would then be way overfull..... just my guess.
