Imitation dual exhaust?? Reminds me of a '69 Plymouth Road Runner. I'd take one off an see if previous owner hid his gold behind it.

?? Good Luck, let us know what you find out.

Are their wires hooked to it on the inside of the boat? If so, my guess is MerCathode System or an aftermarket type. But if they are REALLY wood...? I dont have a clue.

If you can't get your answer from the gang here, try contacting Regal Customer Service at www.regalboats.com. They've been helpful in the past with questions regarding my Regal.

No, no, you're all wrong. This is an obvious retrofit...left over bat pipes from a redo of the bat boat. Holy Catfish, Batman!!!

No wires attached to them, just a few screws to screw them into the transom and thats it.....
I saw another boat exact same as mine but that boat did not have these. So I dont think it came from the factory. These things do nothing, drive does not even come close, hmmm. Well I guess it was worth a shot..... thanks for the help folks!

tallman

Re: What is this on my transom???

Are there any holes (w/threads?) around the side that would be used to secure a pipe or something that slide into them? If so, that would tell they a are made for "holding" something in place like a swim platform, etc.

Oops, just noticed you said they might be wood. That makes it even more strange.

Perhaps a previous owner had problems backing his trailer and they are "boat bumpers" :D

Ok, I'm gonna take a wing at this...
First question, does the outdrive trim work? Was the outdrive replaced?I see a strap going to the swim platform attached to the outdrive(why I ask),like it's holding it up.Those things on the transom could have been part of a removable homemade bracket to hold up the outdrive while traveling. What are they made of?

No the strap in the picture is to hold the cover on... No holes, no straps attached, no threads nothing on these things..... The Mystery continues... They have 0 mechanical function, only held on with three screws and thats it, dont look like they would support much weight... if you want to see the whole boat

http://www.kdmiller.com/boat.htm

Tallman
