What is this part on a boat?

I am trying to find a replacement part for my boat. I do not know what they are called? On the back on the sides of the splash well I guess you could call it, on the sides there is a trim ring where the cables pass through that are about 3 inches in diameter and plastic. I am sure they are available but I can't find them on ebay or anywhere.

Thanks so much.

"back on the sides of the splash" could mean anything. Your going to need to post pictures or give WAY more detail. There are thousands of boats with thousands of boat parts out there.

The poster describes a trim ring on the sides of the splashwell that the cables pass through, I would say it was good enough that 66% of the people replying to it knew what they were getting at.

Thanks!! I think I found what I am looking for. Any other ideas. These are almost a off white semi clear ring that goes around the hole to prevent the cables from rubbing. But thanks to you I got some ideas to go on.

Love this site!

For that application you can use whatever you like, they make plastic ones and stainless, color choices, basically whatever you decide.

Do you want it open (like what you've shown) or semi-closed up? If the latter look for a "cable boot."

Thanks I saw that. I found the tiller grommets like I have where I will use for the (cable and pulley) and use the closed ones I found on this site for the gas line and electrical to the engine, will be less water coming in this way using the closed ones as all 4 are open now, then when I switch to teleflex steering down the road I can get a closed boot at that time.

Thanks!!
