What is this thing?! (Ladder?)

Here are some pictures... trying to figure out what this thing is. Thought it was a ladder (or step) at first but it dosen't go down far enough to step on. I'm sure I am the only person in the world who dosen't know what this is.

I believe that is a mount for a small outboard motor, sometimes called a "kicker". Probably 9.9 to 15hp. Nice to have for HP restricted lakes, trolling or shallow water.

its a bracket to mount a small gas kicker motor for trolling.

Its a motor mount so as u can hang an small outboard [ kicker] troller, spare....IMHO

The first time you are stranded when the motor quits you will wish you had bought a small outboard to go on there so you can limp in instaed of having to get help. Just my thoughts, but if I get my boat running again I will install one for emergencies.

That concept makes complete sense to me until I walk out to my car that only has one engine. How funny would it be to have a little lawnmower engine hanging off the back of your car "for emergencies".

Yes, with a car you pull of the road and call a tow truck. You can also walk if you have to. When you are stuck on the water and drifting you will be glad to have that little lawnmower engine pushing you instead of having to paddle. But do what you think is best.
