The dominant Scot in my ancestry is Robert the Bruce, so the Bruce tartan would fit.

Kilts are no good for riding seated in your boat for long runs.youll get a bad sunburn unless you have a cabin.T top or bimini!Unless your a nudeist and aleady tan down there!im a redneck,literilly,and share the Scottish/Irish ancestry and the parts that dont see the sun are quite white and burn quite easily!!feet,thighs,neck below my shaggy hair when its cut!lol

clan Drummond is my families tartan. We had a lot of fun at my nephew's wedding because his "dress" cost more than the Bride's. (her's was her mother's) The whole Kilt and "stuff" was very expensive.

I wear a skirt often, when I kayak! Not very flattering but it keeps the water out I guess I should see if kayak skirts come in tartans.
