What kind of material for a live well?

I am looking at the possibility of adding a live well to my boat. My question is: what kind of material should I use to build one, or is there something I can use so I don't have to build it???

The dimensions I am looking for are 10" height, 9-10" wide, and anywhere between 24" - 32" in length. I'm hoping there is something out there somewhat close to those numbers so I can just use that instead of building a custom one. Thanks for you input.

Check with BassPro and Cabellas they both list some pre-made plastic ones.

k thanks. I looked there a little bit, it looks like they are $100+ unless I missed something. Does anyone know where I could find some kind of a plastic container like that for a cheaper price? I can't think of anything myself so I may just have to build something.

Buy this:

Put it in a cooler, large plastic or aluminum box, or a 18 gallon Rubbermaid tote. Don't be too cheap, get a Rubbermaid if you don't want it to break.

I have used ice chests in the past. I still use an ice chest, but I fill it with ice and throw the fish I'm going to keep in there. They get iced and are much easier to clean. Read it in one of my catfish books.

I've used coolers for years but my new-to-me boat has two livewells that look like they are made out of aluminum, same as the boat.

Could you use some tin and pop rivet and solder the joints?

That may be easy and cheap.
