What kind of Tach do I need?

I have a older model johnson 70 hp outboard. early 1970's model 3 cylinder. I want to be able to monitor my rpm's. I have looked on ebay, lots of different tachs. What kind of tach would i need for this outboard? Thanks in advance to all that reply.

The first place I would go to is my local Evinrude dlr. They have a P & A catalog that will tell you exactly what you need. Take your model # with you.
