What kind of trim tabs does my boat have?

I have a 1973 IMP pawnee with an OMC stringer drive. The outdrive tilts but does not trim. On either side of the outdrive on the transom there are two trim tabs. The top halves of the tabs are stationary and perpendicular to the transom. The bottom halves of the tabs move freely on a hinge like split flaps on an airplane. In between both both halves is what looks like a bladder. Underneath the bottom halves is a tube. It seems to me that as water speed increases then pressure in the bladders increase to provide more trim. I notice that it takes about 2600 RPMs to keep my boat on plane and the faster I go the more the bow drops At 2600 rpm the bow is noticeably higher than at WOT.

Are there better trim tabs to use than these?

From your description I can't tell what you have . . . I think we're gonna need pics . . . Also, I can't imagine tabs that increase pressure as speed increases. Kinda backwards . . .
