I have a 99 Regal Valanti 176 on a single axle Shorelander trailer with no hyd brakes (tire size ST20575D14) and a combined weight of 3250 lbs (3/4 tank of gas). Axle has metal plate with 4 holes behind the hub. Getting ready to trailer from FL to Colorado and want to put hyd disk brake system on.
Currently looking at the Tie Down Model 66 kit which has 10" rotors and the system is rated for 6,600 lbs.(price is right too at under 500)
On the right track here?
Thanks

The model 66 designates the actuator. The Tie Down stainless non vented disc brakes are crap. Do your self a favor and get the Kodiak disc brakes. The actuator is totally seperate. That can be Tie Down. I do not have experience with the Tie Down vented steel brakes but the bad experience I had with the stainless versions left a bad taste in my mouth. I had them on my trailer for 1000 miles and took them off. Still have them in my garage.

Thanks for the info.:)
Going with Kodiak. Reviews trend toward a higher quality product. All said, cost difference was only $50 higher for the entire system, and still under $500 budget. :D
