what load to what battery?

I'm going to have one starting battery, two house batteries. <br /><br />which battery do you connect things like gps unit, bilge pumps, vhf, things that need to be on when the batteryswitch is off?

Bilge pump on the largest capacity battery - house or starting. Other stuff is pretty low current draw so it really doesn't matter. Question though! Why have a battery switch if all of this stuff is ON anyway. Sort of defeats the purpose of the switch.

dont know, it came with it. thought the battery switch is for when youre away from the boat, but the boat is still in water, you should have bilge on anyways, right? <br /><br />I guess everything else can run off the battery if switched on.
