Looking into buying a 16ft Aluminum StarCraft, however the seller doesn't know the year or model, can anyone help from the picture? The boat was re-done a by a another owner, and has no info tags on it.Thanksstar.jpg

Looks to me like a 16ft. Holiday from the early to mid 70's as the lower rub rail on the sides of the hull went away around 76. Looks like the hull is in decent shape.

Re-done may not be very accurate since it doesn't seem to have an interior or plywood transom. Unless the current owner is recycling the previous owners pix.

No info & no tags would also indicate no paperwork, depending on where you are, that may or may not be a problem.

Priced right w/out a trailer or an outboard it looks like it'd be a nice project, as dozer said, what we can see seems to be in good shape.

Dozers probably right about the year too.

In most of the pics I can find for the Holiday, the windshield is different, however I found pictures of a Jupiter, which appears to be a better match, with both the same windshield style and the lines of the boat I am looking at. But then again, a lot of their boats look similar, so?? Thanks

Ali'i, a lot of Starcraft models began with the curved plexi windshield and changed over to the flat glass one in mid-late 60s. my '65 holiday 18 had a plexi windshield but flat and without the opening center section.

one of our members (fishnmemories) has a 16' SC he uses for fishing and crabbing in coastal BC....seems to work well in your waters altho i'd prefer an 18' (greater hull depth and freeboard for big water). what are you looking to do with the boat?
