Can anyone translate this serial number to a model number? Or make out the number. Boat is a 96 motor is supposed to be original to boat.

Cowl has been painted. Does anyone know what year trim controls were introduced to the side of the outboard?

1991 I think.

Actually there are 1989 models that show the trim tilt switch for the lower cowling !
