Mechanic disconected VRO system and I now Mix but the fuel pump now needs to be replaced. What non-VRO pump will fit on this engine and are there any particular issues with mounting? Sorry if this has been addressed before I could not find it specific to my year engine.

Try Shop.Evinrude.com. Look up a 88 SPL in your year range and you may find a pump. I know it can be done but I don't have the #'s. Maybe somebody else will chime in with a #.

You need a 3 port fuel pump which will connect to the pulse line of the old VRO. A fuel pump from an old 125 in the 1972 vintage will work. 385784. It supercedes many times. The current Bombardier part number is: 438559. About $100 from any dealer.
