What model is my Evinrude need repair manual

Just purchased a boat with an evinrude 185 2 stroke- 1994 and the serial number is G02581864- model is not on engine cover? I am having low idle problems under power- runs great at full throttle............

Welcome to the forum!<br /><br />As you stand behind your motor, On the your right hand side down where the engine hooks over transom.<br /><br />Look on side of the motor mount bracket, their should be a plate with model numbers.

Good name,Sugartoad,and welcome to Iboats! Tasty little guys, they are!<br />Can't help you with that big old thang, but I do know the Northern neck quite well.Got lots of family there with lots of fine real estate.<br />You will find the answer to your problem here. These guys are all masters of the 'Rude. Mighty fine in the field of psychology as well.So far,they've all kept me from torching my motor and/or boat several times.

Hey geek.... wasn't it you that fried your ignition??? So the nice protruding trail of electrical smoke could tech. be considered fried huh??? Anyways I would have to agree... you will find your answers here... too bad your motor is a bit new for me...if it's not mismatched, paint peeling, and running then it's outta my leage..lol

Hey Geek<br /><br />Yes them sugar toads do be tasty, just wish I could find a hot spot for them. Thanks for the info and looks like I am on the right web site since I am going to need help with my 'rude.
