what model/year is this Merc?

I can't find any ID plates on my motor, but this is cast into the block: 5 121385 (top left). This is cast into the transom mount (left side): 1440 7373.

I believe it's an 85-87' 50hsp Mercury, but everything I look up comes up short. It's a 3cylinder with two square bowl carburators with enrichment valves on the left. It has a high pressure water pump, and a preload drive shaft. The cowl is fiberglass with grey stripes... if any of that helps.

Ordering parts is a PIA without knowing just what I have. It could be possible it's a 60hsp (who knows if the cowl was swapped!

None of those numbers are your serial no. Look on top of the motor for a round disk. The serial no should be stamped in it. The serial no will be 7 or 8 digits. If it is 8 the first no will be a 0 followed by a letter or a number. The rest of the digits will be numbers.
