I just bought a landau 1470 john boat. It has a 20 inch deep transom. Should I buy a long shaft or short shaft motor to use? I have a short shaft motor (10hp.) for my other boat. I mounted it on the landau and the top 3/4 of the prop wasnt beneth the floor of the boat. one guy says to go slong shaft and the other guy says i can get away with the short shaft. I am going to buy a 25 horse motor and dont know what to go with. I would appreciate any suggestions.
