You need a 360 degree white light near the rear of the boat.

BOATS UNDER 12 METERS (39.4')
Powerboats-Separate or combination red and green sidelights, 112.5?, visible 1 n.m., placed above hull at least 1 meter (3.3') below masthead light. Masthead: white, 225?, visible 2 n.m., at least 1 meter above side lights. White stern light, 135?, visible 2 n.m. OR, one all-round (360?) white light (should also have sidelights).

Actually, the bow light is purposely not visible from the back to let someone know they are approaching a boat from behind.
If you see white only you are approaching from behind
White with red and green you are approaching head on.
White and Red approaching from your right (also meaning he is the stand on vessel and you should yield, kind of like stopping for a "red light")
White and green approaching from your left.

I'd get a nice perko all around white light for the stern. It needs to be 3' higher than the highest point of your boat. If I'm reading it right, you have an 18' boat? Probably a small cuddy. A 36" all around should be fine.
