Hello All

I recently purchased a 94 Bayliner with a 1994 Force 120. The boat set up for almost a year and since I got it almost 4 weeks ago I have yet to put it in water. I heard it run before I bought it and I have run it on the hose several times. I was wondering what I should consider doing or replacing before I actually get on the water. I will list all Ive done to it up till now. I feel that I am constantly working on this thing. I bought very cheap and was a one owner. They just stopped using it after they bought a new bigger boat. The boat itself and trailer are in great condition. My $$$$ keeps going into the motor. lol

Done
1) New water pump kit
2) New thermostat and gasket
3) new fuel filter
4) flushed out fuel system and decarbed with Sea foam
5) Changed lower unit oil
6) New plugs
7) one new coil
8) New battery
9) cleaned carb bowls out and sprayed carbs with carb cleaner. Bottom carb is leaking still
10) cleaned out pee hose

To do list .

1) Carb kits on order
2) Tilt trim is leaking down. Need to check in to that

Any suggestion would be welcome !

One other thing is to replace the fuel pump diaphragm.

BOAT= acronym for Break Out Another Thousand. LOL! Just kidding. Like most motors, the worst thing that you can do is to let it sit unused for long periods of time.

Great idea on the fuel pump diaphragm ! The previous own said he had the water pump and carbs redone about 2 years ago. But I decided no reason to take any chances. I could also tell he used ethanol gas instead of marine gas. It took me awhile to clean up all that mess.

There are a couple of "help" posts at the top of this forum.
I believe there is a "wake up" post.
There should be a T@T repair post too.
Do the leakdown test and that will tell what you need to fix.

Replace all the fuel hoses.
