What paint to use???

Hi everyone, new to the site but working on my 4th restoration, a '72 Glass Arrow Cougar. I've used topside in the past with good results, but money is tight and I can't justify $40 a quart on this little boat. I was leaning toward the Rust-Oleum topside paint, having used it before. But for some reason, I can't find any in Indianapolis. Has anyone ever used standard Rust-Oleum before? I don't want a crappy finish, but need to balance finish with funds lol.

Rusto and similar have been used following that method by quite a few members on both glass and tin boats w great results

For trailered boats, not slipped, except for an occasional long weekend..

In general, it's labeled for the targeted market.

Topside ~ Marine labeled paint is sold for more... chemically not drastically different, according to someone who spoke to Rusto techs.

Ace hardware branded RustStop, Rusto, RustoPro, Majic, pretty much any oil based enamel. Some Ace Hardware have the ability to custom tint RustStop so an infinte # of paint colors available.
